How much does a pre-purchase inspection cost?
$199. One inspection, everything included — no tiers, no add-ons, no surprise fees. The same flat rate for cars, trucks, and diesels.
What does the inspection include?
A comprehensive multi-point inspection covering the engine and drivetrain, fluids and leaks, steering, suspension and brakes, tires, frame and undercarriage, body and collision evidence, interior, and electrical systems. It also includes an OBD/full-system diagnostic scan where the vehicle supports it, a road test when conditions permit, a Vehicle History Review, photos of findings, a detailed digital report, and a Buy / Caution / Walk Away verdict with a debrief call.
Where do you provide inspections?
Serving Northern Utah from Brigham City to North Salt Lake — across Box Elder, Weber, and Davis Counties. We come to the vehicle — a private seller's driveway, a dealership lot, wherever the car is within that corridor.
When are appointments available?
Weekday evening and Saturday appointments are available. Same-day appointments may be available depending on schedule and location. If you have a vehicle on the line and need to move quickly, call or text 385-256-0254 and we'll do our best to fit you in.
Do I need to be there for the inspection?
No. Many of our customers are buying from a distance or can't get away from work. You arrange access with the seller, we go to the vehicle, and we walk you through everything on a debrief call afterward.
Can a dealer refuse a pre-purchase inspection?
A dealer can, but a reasonable seller usually won't — an independent inspection is a normal part of buying a used vehicle. If a seller flatly refuses to allow any inspection, that itself is useful information worth thinking hard about. We work with both private sellers and dealerships.
How is this different from a vehicle history report?
A history report tells you what has been reported to it — title events, some accidents, service records that made it into the system. It can't crawl under the truck, scan the computers, or drive the car. We do. We use a Vehicle History Review as supporting evidence, then physically inspect what's actually in front of you.
What happens if the inspection finds problems?
You get the full picture: what we found, photos of it, repair-cost context where we can reasonably estimate it, and a clear Buy / Caution / Walk Away recommendation. Sometimes that means negotiating a fair price with real leverage. Sometimes it means walking away from a bad one — which can be the most valuable outcome of all.
How long does an inspection take?
Plan for roughly 60–90 minutes on-site depending on the vehicle and access, plus the time to prepare your report. You'll typically have your digital report and debrief shortly after.
